Terms of use

Last updated: 18 October 2026

These terms govern your use of Press Meet Live (the "Service"), which lets organisations in India publish and stream press meets and lets journalists ask questions at them. By using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. Who can use the Service

The Service is intended for press meets held in India and audiences in India. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Organisers must be authorised to act for the organisation they register.

2. Accounts and verification

Organiser and journalist accounts must have a confirmed email address (you prove it by entering a code we email you) and must be verified by us before publishing, going live or asking questions. An email address that has not been confirmed does not reserve the account: a new sign-up by the real owner of that address replaces it. You must give accurate information, keep your password secure and tell us about misuse. We may reject, suspend or revoke verification at our discretion.

3. Organisers

You are responsible for everything you publish or stream, including statements, answers, files and stream links. You confirm that you have the rights and authority to publish it and that it does not violate any law in force in India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. Do not publish content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, infringing, misleading in a way that could harm others, or that incites violence or breaks election-period rules.

4. Journalists

Questions must be relevant, civil and lawful. You must not misrepresent your identity, media house or credentials.

5. Streams and third-party services

The Service does not host video. It embeds streams from third-party providers you choose (for example YouTube, Facebook or Vimeo). Those providers' terms and privacy practices apply to their players. We are not responsible for their availability or content.

6. Takedowns

We may remove or disable any content or press meet that we believe violates these terms or the law, or in response to valid legal orders and complaints. See our grievance redressal page to report content.

7. Intellectual property

You keep ownership of what you publish and give us a licence to display and distribute it through the Service. The Press Meet Live name, logo and software belong to us.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided "as is". Statements made at press meets are those of the organiser, not ours. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Service.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights.
